Susana Santos Silva

Susana Santos Silva is a Portuguese trumpeter, composer, and improviser based in Stockholm, Sweden, celebrated for her experimental and boundary-pushing approach to music. Described by Downbeat as “one of the most exciting improvisers in the world,” she blends a spectrum of influences and frequently incorporates other art forms, such as visual and physical movement, into her work. Dedicated to expanding her instrument’s sonic possibilities, her music often dissolves traditional boundaries, inviting listeners into uncharted sonic landscapes. Santos Silva has collaborated with renowned artists like Anthony Braxton, Fred Frith, Evan Parker, and Joëlle Léandre. Her diverse projects showcase her as a soloist, ensemble leader, and sought-after collaborator across the international jazz and improvisation scenes.

Sylvain Darrifourcq

Sylvain Darrifourcq is a French percussionist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his innovative contributions to contemporary and improvised music. Initially influenced by rock, jazz, and improvisation, he has become a key figure in avant-garde music, collaborating with artists like Joëlle Léandre, Tony Malaby, and Marc Ducret. Darrifourcq, a former drummer of the award-winning Emile Parisien Quartet, is recognized for his explorations in temporality and spatial dynamics. His projects such as MILESDAVISQUINTET!, IN LOVE WITH, and TENDIMITE illustrate his research into poly-speed and sound mechanization. In 2019, he co-founded the *FIXIN ecosystem*, combining sound installations and minimalist light scenography. In 2023, he launched HECTOR Editions to publish interdisciplinary works and released 20,000 WORDS, co-authored with Antoine Le Bousse, as part of his commitment to advancing music and art theory.

Petter Eldh

Petter Eldh is a versatile bassist, composer, producer, and arranger known for his unique approach that spans jazz, hip-hop, soul, and Swedish folk music. Starting his musical journey on the guitar and shifting to double bass, he pursued studies at Skurups Folk High School and later earned a Master’s in Music Performance from the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Drawing on a range of influences from Charles Mingus and A Tribe Called Quest to Monica Zetterlund, Eldh has developed an eclectic and distinctive style. His work has garnered recognition, winning the SWR Jazzpreis in 2022 and the Deutscher Jazzpreis for string instruments in 2024. Notable projects include the series PROJEKT DRUMS, and his work with ensembles POST KOMA, ENEMY, and Y-OTIS, released on Edition Records and We Jazz Records.
