INFO FOR APPLICANTS:

WHO: 20 young artists

– Artists from the following countries can apply:  France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Portugal, Tunisia. The country is understood as the place of your current residency

– age limit: 18 – 35

WHEN: April 1-3, 2025 (Arrival March 31, Departure April 4)

WHERE: Le Périscope, 11bis rue Dugas Montbel 69002 Lyon

WHAT:

Intl Jazz Platform Lyon Edition is an artistic and professional platform for improvised music artists organized together with Le Periscope from Lyon as a part of Better Live Music project. It is a space for creative exchange of knowledge and inspiration, as well as for meeting peers and other actors of the music sector in Europe. Intl Jazz Platform brings together representatives of the improvised music industry – students, experienced and established instrumentalists, promoters and experts. During three several days in Lyon they will build a network of relationships, exchange experiences, learn from each other and share music together. During this special edition of Intl Jazz Platform, we’re joining forces with the Better Live project to discuss the future of our sector in the face of the climate urgency.

 Participants will have a chance to play, perform, and discuss
music alongside these amazing mentors:

🎸 Petter Eldh – Double Bass
🥁 Sylvain Darrifourcq – Drums

COVERED BY THE ORGANIZER:

    1. Contribution to the travel costs for Lyon in the following amount:
      • 100 euro if you travel by plane,
      • 125 euro if you travel by car,
      • 150 euro if you travel by public transportation,

      meaning that if you spent more than this amount, we will reimburse to you € 100, € 125 or €150 respectively and if you spent less, we will reimburse to you the actual expenses you have incurred, according to the travel documents/tickets/receipts you will provide.

    1. Accommodation  – Arrival March 31st, departure April 4th. 
    1. Sustenance (breakfast, lunch & dinner)

PARTICIPANTS ARE OBLIGED TO:

  1. Arrive on time for the first session that will start around 10:00 on April 1st.
  2. Leave no earlier than after the final concert that is planned for April 3rd at 19:00 (the earliest departure around 22:30 on April 3rd).
  3. Participate in all the activities planned from April 1 – 3, 2025.

Participants apply be filling an application form and sending their music till Dec 12th, 2024.
